In elementary school, we called ourselves mutt and jeff; tho she was always the stronger.  In high school, we would go out in the canoe at night with my banjo and sing folk songs knowing no one could hear us because we couldn't see anyone... (do you know how sound carries on the water?).

Linda was a high school gymnast who took her talent to college, then taught phys ed in Marlboro, MA, for many years. She also volunteered her skill in gymnastics with physically, mentally, and emotionally challenged young people. Perhaps that is a throwback from when she worked at Wrentham State School during high school.

She and husband Larry Olsen were a very active - and quiet - couple who avoided the spotlight. Larry was a runner who coached cross country for most of his life. His success in the Boston Marathon even as a "senoir" - was notable.

I miss Linda and wish I'd sought her company more regularly and therefore had more time with her.  Ah, regret...

Linda is another one of the classmates in my first communion picture from St. Mary's in Wrentham. She' s interred with her Mom and DAD right behind my final resting place. R.I.P. Linda.
