My first memories of Ed are from grade school fifth and sixth grades. In Wrentham kids from West Wrentham aka Sheldonville came up to The Vogel School starting in the fifth grade. Ed was a good size guy even back then, by big I mean taller than I was. There were other guys like for Ed, for example George Mavrides, Jerome Brooks ,and Wayne Lavanaway(later Hinton) who always seemed to be involved in a scuffle on the playground. As a little guy I aligned myself with Eddie as he always seemed to be the victor. He was always a friend and in later life he would do his and Susan's shopping at Shaw's in Franklin where I worked. He always took the time to chat . His wake was at Ross' in a snow storm but I knew I had to go. RIP Eddie my friend and protector.
